In March 2017, Charles was cited in Miami Dade County, FL for blocking an intersection, careless driving, driving on a sidewalk and improperly parking on a sidewalk.
The citation lists his address in Cypress, Texas.

His campaign website also states:
“Since founding his agency, Mr. Bourgeois has spearheaded powerful community advocacy campaigns that registered nearly 2,000 Millennials to vote—mobilizing a new generation of voices through strategic GOTV initiatives that played a key role in boosting Millennial turnout during the 2018 midterm elections.”
That sounds good. Let's check Charles' voting record:
Not too shabby. Charles votes in November elections, and even votes in some runoff elections.
What we don’t see is any voting in primaries, except for one in 2018 in which he selected a non-partisan ballot. In areas such as Atlanta, primaries are where most politicians are functionally selected. It’s also the best way to determine a voter’s likely partisanship.
Since Charles fails to vote in the elections that really matter, it’s impossible to tell if he’s a likely republican or Democrat. Also note that he failed to vote in the 2021 runoff for Ossoff and Warnock — the election which determined the balance of power in DC and whether Biden would be facing a Republican-controlled Senate or not.
Again, his voting history is better than some, but does avoiding primaries show leadership? And can he honestly ask for your vote while he skips consequential elections himself?
Furthermore, Charles claims to care about the increasing expenses seniors on fixed incomes are paying for taxes. Yet those tax increases are likely FAR overshadowed by the absolutely insane electric bills coming out of Georgia Power. Everyone has suffered 6 rate increases in only 3 years. Yet Charles couldn’t be bothered to vote in the June 2025 primary for Public Service Commissioner, or the July 2025 runoff. These were critical races to determine if we’ll have strong enough candidates to flip two seats on the PSC in November and regain some control over these out-of-control electric bills.
